Sign up and open a board

You start with two boards — work and personal. Add more as needed. Each board is an infinite canvas.

Double-click anywhere to create a note. Type a fragment, a headline, a question — whatever's on your mind. Change the weight to signal importance.

Draw connections between related notes. Use shapes to visually group clusters. The layout is yours — no folders, no hierarchy imposed.

Lasso and generate

Hold shift and draw around a cluster. Click "make something" and choose slide, document, or message. AI reads your spatial layout and note weights to produce the output.

Privacy Policy

The short version: Your notes and thinking are yours. We don't look at your content, we don't sell your data, and we don't let AI providers train on it. We store your data securely with encryption and row-level isolation. You can delete your boards or your entire account at any time.

What Boundless Jest Is

Boundless Jest is an infinite canvas whiteboard for thinking, operated by Eastlake Labs. You create boards, write notes, organize them into projects and sections, and use AI to generate slides, documents, and messages from your thinking.

What Data We Collect

When you use Boundless Jest, we store the content you create: notes, threads (deeper notes beneath canvas notes), shapes, connections between notes, projects, project sections, canvas tables, and AI-generated outputs (slides, documents, messages). We also store your email address and authentication credentials for sign-in, your display preferences (font choice, last viewed board), and basic usage events (which features you use and when).

We do not collect your name, phone number, physical address, payment information, or any data beyond what is listed above.

Where Your Data Is Stored

All data is stored on secure, US-hosted cloud infrastructure. Your data is encrypted at rest and encrypted in transit.

How Your Data Is Isolated

Every content table in our database enforces row-level security (RLS). This means the database itself verifies that you can only access data belonging to your own boards. This protection is enforced at the database level, not just the application level — even if there were a bug in our code, the database would still prevent cross-user data access.

Who Can See Your Content

Your boards and their contents are private to you. There is no public sharing, no link-based access, and no way for other users to discover or view your content. We, as operators of Boundless Jest, do not access your content for any purpose other than debugging technical issues, and only with your explicit permission.

AI Processing and Third Parties

When you generate slides, documents, or messages, the selected notes from your canvas are sent to frontier AI lab APIs for processing. The API terms of service of these providers prohibit using customer data for model training. Your content is sent only for the purpose of generating the output you requested and is not retained by the provider beyond the request.

If you connect Google Slides, your slide content is sent to Google's API to create a presentation in your Google account. Your Google OAuth tokens are stored securely and are only accessible to your authenticated session.

Beyond AI processing and Google (when you opt into the Google Slides integration), no third parties receive your content. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party.

Model Training

We do not use your content to train AI models. We do not allow any AI provider to use your content for model training. Your thinking stays yours.

Usage Analytics

We collect basic usage events (such as "user generated a slide" or "user created a board") to understand how the product is being used. These events do not contain the content of your notes or generated outputs. We retain anonymized output logs for analytics purposes even after board deletion — these logs record metadata about generations (output type, section label, whether context was applied) but do not contain the full content of your boards.

Your Control Over Your Data

You can delete any board and all its associated content (notes, threads, projects, shapes, connections, generated outputs) at any time from the boards page. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

You can delete your entire account and all associated data from the Security page within the app. Account deletion removes all boards and their content, your preferences, your Google connection tokens, and your usage events. After account deletion, your authentication session is terminated.

Cookies and Tracking

Boundless Jest uses authentication cookies to maintain your signed-in session. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics services that track you across other websites.

Children

Boundless Jest is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last updated.
